Fall Protection Authorized and Competent Rescuer

Description:

Falls to a lower level have been and continue to be a leading cause of work-related deaths in the United States. Between 2016 and 2020, an average of 676 workers were killed in the workplace after falling to a lower level. Upon completion of these programs, students will be able to identify the hazards of working at height, describe the hierarchy of fall protection, inspect and utilize active fall protection systems, and perform the duties and responsibilities of the authorized and/or competent fall protection rescuer.

  • Fall Protection Authorized Rescuer - 8 hours
  • Fall Protection Competent Rescuer - 16 hours

Note: Additional time may be required for your course based on your facility's fall hazard survey.
