Bill Elder
Founder and Managing Director

Bill Elder has twenty years of experience in safety and rescue services and still works as a firefighter/paramedic in Delaware County, PA. Bill has earned many "ProBoard certifications" in technical rescue, hazardous materials, safety, and instruction. He is also a board certified Safety Trained Supervisor and Nationally Registered Paramedic. In 2021, Bill was admitted to the Institute of Search and Technical Rescue at the grade of Member.

Since 2015, Bill has been a PA Fish and Boat Commission and PA State Fire Academy Local Level Instructor. He has presented or served as hands-on training cadre at multiple state and national level conferences, including the CODE EMS Conference, New York State Technical Rescue Conference, Board of Certified Safety Professionals Global Learning Summit, Heavy Rescue Conference, and the Fire Department Instructor's Conference.

Bill previously served as Lieutenant and Assistant Chief of Rescue Services at King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company. He was also the Upper Merion Township Team Leader on the Southeastern Montgomery County Technical Rescue Task Force. He twice coordinated the fire company's state recognition as an Advanced Vehicle and Machinery Rescue service, and the fire company was awarded the 2014 Rescue Service of the Year Award by the Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council.

Bill is proud to be a third-generation Air Force veteran. He earned his Master of Science in Emergency Services Management from Columbia Southern University. He lives in Delaware County, PA with his wife, children, and dogs.

Small Class Sizes

We stress small class sizes when teaching complex concepts and techniques. Having been students in very large classes before, we know that learning suffers, and students do not get enough one-on-one attention or practice in those settings. We are even happy to do private one-on-one training sessions with motivated students.

We do not believe that only teaching you one way to perform a task is right, because in the real-world you will need to be able to problem solve the situation in front of you. For that reason, we emphasize critical thinking skills. After taking our classes you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to determine the safest and most effective solutions to real-world problems.
