Part-Time Safety and Rescue Consultant (Rope and/or Water Specialities)

Elder Technical Rescue Services LLC (ETRS) is currently searching for Safety and Rescue Consultants that have the certifications and experience needed to teach rope-related programs (i,e., rope rescue, fall protection, etc.) and/or Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) water rescue programs. Applicants need not be qualified in both areas. Most of our courses are held in southeastern Pennsylvania, but we are expanding.
These are part-time, casual positions (non-exempt) that will teach safety and rescue classes and provide other consulting services on an as-needed basis. You will play an integral role in the services that ETRS provides to help make our communities safer.
What You'll Do
- Meet clients to understand their specific needs and challenges.
- Develop solutions and recommendations to correct problems or increase efficiency.
- Deliver safety and technical rescue training and education programs.
- Create a welcoming and safe learning environment that encourages student involvement and participation.
- Participate in the company’s continuous quality improvement system.
- Prioritize safety in all activities conducted with the company.
- Continue professional development and growth according to company policies, personal interests, certification requirements, and other safety regulations.
What You've Accomplished
- Minimum 10 years of experience in specialty field
- Fire Service Instructor Level 1 certification (or equivalent instructor training)
Rope Specialty applicants:
- NFPA 1006 Rope Rescue Technician
- Or, SPRAT/IRATA Rope Access Technician II/III
- ISA Certified Arborist or Certified Tree Climber (preferred)
Water Specialty applicants:
- PFBC WRER Instructor (required)
- PFBC ALSR Instructor (preferred)
- PFBC IRER Instructor (preferred)
