We are Delaware County's premier training provider for technical rescue, emergency medical, and hazardous materials operations courses. In addition to the online and blended learning opportunities available here, we travel throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and beyond teaching our programs. All our programs are accredited by the PA Department of Health for EMS Continuing Education credits. Contact us for more information on any of the programs below.
Technical Rescue Programs
We offer a full lineup of technical rescue classes at various levels. Our programs include the following disciplines identified by NFPA 1006 Standard for Technical Rescue Personnel Professional Qualifications (2021):
- Common Passenger Vehicle Rescue
- Confined Space Rescue
- Floodwater Rescue
- Heavy Vehicle Rescue
- Ice Rescue
- Machinery Rescue
- Rope Rescue
- Structural Collapse Rescue
- Tower Rescue
- Trench Rescue
In addition to initial training programs in each of the above disciplines, we also offer refresher programs of various lengths that can be customized to meet your agency’s needs. Refresher training is vital to ensure your agency is providing the best rescue services to the community.
Emergency Medical Programs
We are strong believers that appropriate prehospital assessment and care needs to be provided during all rescue operations. The old philosophy that rescue work and medical care are two entirely separate fields is outdated and harmful. Our emergency medical programs include:
- Advanced First Aid
- Basic First Aid
- BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED)
- Emergency Medical Response
- Emergency Medical Response Refresher
- EMT Refresher
- Paramedic Refresher
- Medical Aspects of Technical Rescue
In addition to being passionate about technical rescue operations, all our instructors are current EMS providers.
Hazardous Materials Operations Programs
Not only is hazardous materials operations level training required for all first responders, but it is especially important for rescue professionals who may encounter hazardous materials in confined spaces, floodwater, collapsed buildings, and other locations. Our hazardous materials programs include:
- HazMat Operations: Core Competencies
- HazMat Operations: Annual Refresher
Our programs are based on NFPA 472 (2018) competencies and exceed OSHA HAZWOPER training requirements for first responders.
