Confined Space Rescue Operations (Blended Learning)
This class teaches the fundamentals of confined space rescue at the operations level.
This class teaches fundamental confined space rescue principles and skills. Students will learn about OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, confined space hazards, atmospheric monitoring, patient assessment & packaging, extrication techniques, and more. Hands-on evolutions in simulated confined spaces will incorporate both horizontal and vertical rescue techniques.
The class is completed in two separate steps. First, the student completes the cognitive portion of the program online from the comfort of their own home or workplace. Upon successful completion of the online component, the student will then participate in one day of practical skills training.
This program is based on NFPA 1006 Standard for Technical Rescue Personnel Professional Qualifications (2021 edition) for the Confined Space Rescue Operations level.
