Heavy Vehicle Rescue Awareness, 01/23/2025

Course Description:

Heavy vehicles include highway, construction, off-road, or mass transit vehicles that pose challenges for rescuers due to their size, weight, construction, occupancy, and other unique considerations. This program will introduce first responders to heavy vehicle rescue at the awareness level, focusing on school buses and semi-tractor trailers. Students will also be introduced to specialized equipment used in heavy vehicle rescue operations.

Course Length: 3 hours

Standards:

This program is based on NFPA 1006 Standard for Technical Rescue Personnel Professional Qualifications (2021 edition) for the Heavy Vehicle Rescue Awareness level.

Certificates:

Elder Technical Rescue Services LLC will issue certificates of completion to students successfully completing the program.
